NEWater plant














Today, the whole sec two level went to the NEWater visitor centre. We went to see and understand further (been there more than once WITH the school =.=) how NEWater is produced. Not much difference.. in fact, no difference at all! except ONE thing!! was quite cool okay.. :D you shall guess...

okay okay.. i guess you're pissed by now. SORRY.



The person working there for TWO years hasn't even seen it before, until today :D



It has only been changed after FIVE years!!!!



we're LUCKY! nothing REALLY special though.. they were just changing the filter for one of the systems.. the very first step the water from the reservoirs and other places will go through, MICROFILTRATION the next few steps will then be followed by:




- Reverse Osmosis ( to further seperate water molecules with bacteria that could pass through the microfiltration )



; water can be drunk already after this process, the processes below are just extra precautions.



SO..... NEWater is SAFE






- Ultraviolet Disinfection ( Removes smaller particles including viruses, bacteria, pesticides.. etc )



and






- Conditioning ( additional precaution to ensure cleanliness of water :D )









i shall show you the picture of the colour difference of the NEW filter and the OLD one. it is VERY obvious!! ( you might feel disgusted ) :
